Hand harvested from the Mediterranean coast of Cyprus, Foodscout Flake Sea Salt is specially smoked over spent white oak Jack Daniel’s Whiskey Barrels. Handmade small batch production yields a robust fruity, smokey flavour, with the unmistakable scent of whiskey.
A light-medium smoked salt, with a deep caramel sweetness.
Food suggestions: Meatier dishes including pork, game birds, Mediterranean vegetable dishes or a grilled beach oyster. Use as a rub and finisher on a perfectly grilled steak. On the sweeter side, it’s great to add dimension on top of a salted caramel chocolate cookie or a Basque cheesecake.
Cocktail suggestions: Add a small pinch to a Whiskey Sour, Dirty Martini or use to rim the glass of a classic Paloma.
